    Country Heritage Park's first Future of Food & Farming Forum a Resounding Success!

    Tuesday, October 6th, 2015 welcomed 2041 - Changes & Choices and it will be remembered by attending delegates as an array of rapid-fire "master talks" packed with excitement, information and innovation. The Honourable Jeff Leal, Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs opened with solid support of the need to bring agriculture's issues of tomorrow to the table today, stating that it couldn't happen in a more appropriate setting than CHP's picturesque Gambrel Barn. Mr. Leal commended CHP for having the insight and awareness of the need to create such a cross discipline podium, in recognition of the industry diversity within the world of agriculture and food.

    British Car Council Toy Run

    On October 4th 2015, it may have been threatening a cold rain in the morning, but that chilly morning moved its way to a beautiful fall afternoon.

    Brave souls in their sports cars came that morning, with tops, tonneaus, and, some, fully open to the world. With them, saloon owners came to the Country Heritage Park in Milton for a great day full of cars, dance, cars, lunch, music, cars, and generosity.

    Harvest Halton 2015 event at Country Heritage Park

    Visitors enjoyed the taste and diversity of a delightful "Farm to Chef Experience" and a "Simply Local" Farmers Market at Harvest Halton's 2015 celebration event at Country Heritage Park on Sunday October 4th 2015. Visitors had an opportunity to tantalize their taste buds and sample unique dishes created by award winning chefs from Halton Region's renowned restaurants. Each chef was paired with local farmers and local wineries and or participating microbrewers provided the beverage of choice.

    Harvest Halton is a unique event featuring local chefs, beer and wine. It gives attendees a chance to sample and try new foods at an affordable cost, and to learn about some of the locally owned restaurants nearby.

    All Colour Antique Tractor and Toy Show

    If you missed our Antique Tractor and Toy show last weekend, make sure you mark it on your calendar for next year. It was an outstanding success!

    Here's a bit of background information about the show:

    One of the big draws for tractor enthusiasts was a David Brown tractor from the 1930s. In addition to this, there are over 160 antique tractors that can always be found at the park, and an additional 300 that were brought in as exhibits.
